About Green Accord

The Green Accord, launched in 2007, is a successful business accreditation scheme. It is a symbol of a low-carbon business. Through clear, easy to implement actions, it will help you to reduce the environmental impact of your business. The Green Accord is an affordable route to sustainability, efficiency, net zero, and improved business opportunity.

Implementation of the Green Accord standard will provide a business culture that embodies not only improved performance, but embeds the structure and processes that will help an organisation achieve and maintain its sustainability and net zero goals.

Relaunching

You may be familiar with the old green apple logo and the ‘Select’, ‘Superior’ and ‘Premier’ levels of accreditation. The updated accreditation has a new brand identity, logo, and revised self-assessment. Please note that if you hold the Green Accord accreditation from prior to March 2023, this is still valid until expiry.

South west procurement alliance endorsement 2023

The South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) is the South West hub of the LHC Group, a not-for-profit central purchasing body who develop frameworks for public sector use. Akin to Green Accord, SWPA values transparency, sustainability, and efficiency.

SWPA is proud to endorse Green Accord, an accreditation for businesses seeking to improve their sustainability and decrease their impact on the environment. Similar to Green Accord, in their investment in a brighter and greener future, SWPA places great importance on its social value provision.

Not only does Green Accord demonstrate best practice by promoting the reduction of environmental impact throughout the whole supply chain, but it is also a proven accreditation that drives sustainability and promotes the importance of investing in the surrounding communities and environment.
