For Supply Chain

The Green Accord can be used as a business tool to evidence low carbon sustainable business practises in your supply chain.

As an organisation it is important to not only reduce your direct emissions, but the emissions of your supply chain.

Supply chain emissions come under your Scope 3 emissions as an organisation (for more information on Scopes 1, 2, and 3, click here).

By encouraging your suppliers to adopt the Green Accord, you can evidence that your supply chain is employing sustainable working practises that align with your carbon reduction targets.

The following steps are all that is required:

  1. Identify which businesses in your supply chain you would like to become accredited – search existing Green Accord members here.
  2. Get in touch with your suppliers and share our introductory materials to communicate the benefits of achieving the Green Accord for both parties. Outline your requirements for businesses in your supply chain to have an environmental accreditation.
  3. Contact greenaccord@exeter.gov.uk for further help and support if required.
